  How-To Guides

How do I subscribe?

The Goblin’s subscriptions are handled by Patreon. To subscribe, you need a Patreon account, to join The Goblin’s Patreon campaign, and link your Patreon account to the The Goblin’s Notebook.

Why Patreon?

Patreon handles all the user data and billing so The Goblin doesn’t have to, ensuring that you get a robust and secure billing experience from a company specialising in handling it. The Goblin can then access the subscription information via linked accounts so you can be sure of the security of your data.

Can you walk me through the subscription process?

The process is quite simple…

  1. Firstly, you need a Patreon account
  2. Then just go to The Goblin’s Patreon campaign and subscribe to one of the available tiers
  3. Once subscribed, go to your notebook and from the user menu, select manage subscription then link patreon account. This will direct you to Patreon to log in and allow The Goblin to access your subscription details
  4. After doing this, you will be redirected back to your notebook, and it should log you with your subscription active

Patreon will bill you in the billing currency you set in your profile. You will be charged monthly, starting from when you sign up.

Subscriptions auto-renew

Your subscription will auto-renew through Patreon so you don’t have to do anything to keep your current subscription level.

Managing your subscription

If you want to make changes to your subscription, you can increase tier, decrease tier, or cancel from The Goblin’s Patreon campaign.

Changes you make will take effect at the start of the next calendar month unless you re-link your Patreon account when they will happen immediately.

If you increase your tier, re-link your account to get access immediately. If you decrease or cancel, do not re-link to keep your benefits until the start of the next month.

To re-link your account, click the mange subscription link from the user menu the same way you linked it originally.
